Last Week’s Highlights
- Finalized partnership discussion with Willdan to exclusively support them on the Con Ed recompete RFP (MZ)
- Successful meeting presenting interim results of project that our partner the Urban Green Council is leading to drive more awareness on standardized retrofit options that will be powered by Momentum (MZ)
- We didn’t have any patch-worthy bugs come out of the big UI update in Release 91! That was a heckuva lot of change, and I think its smooth landing is worth celebrating! 🎉 (JB)

Crow’s Nest
Looking out for icebergs: What are the risks on the horizon that we’re watching for and navigating around?
Marc’s List (carryover)
- Macro economic impacts on our business and busineses in general from shit that is going down
- We need more and better feedback from users and potential users
François’ List
- NYSERDA data RFP / Building Data Platform: we’re getting started on set up tasks next week! It’s exciting to be in a position to leverage our data platform and expand it to support more use cases. We’ll have to be careful to balance the needs of our customer (e.g. statewide, all buildings), and our long-term strategy goals (nationwide and more, multifamily focus). Exciting also to try our new onboarding process - thanks Erika!
Jason’s List
Carryover from last week’s:
- NYC Accelerator RFP–this would be a big contract and have impacts on revenue plan.
- Who are going to be our users outside government programs? Service Providers? Owners? Contractors? We need to align on this and soon.
- How can we continue to reduce the barriers to giving users useful information? I’m eager to try scraping data out of pdfs and other documents so we can make it easier to get non-public information.
- Figuring out a sustainable sprint planning routine that allows us to reliably ship on time and to know what will be in the release–and move faster.
- Updating our project workflow. We have a better idea of who will be using this now, which is a great start. Now we need to confirm what features they need and those they don’t need.
Erika’s List
- At the end of the last horizontal monthly meeting, we discussed speaking about growth opportunities and how we grow or progress within a horizontal organization. It’s a group discussion, but on my radar to bring up examples or best practices elsewhere that could be helpful to us. It is an important and logical next step to consider in the employee lifecycle (hiring, onboarding, integration and then growth) to ensure we are building and then able to support a dynamic horizontal culture.
- Carrying over from last week the Justworks comps, since this week I will start receiving the benefits analyses.
On Deck for This Week
- Here’s what’s on the Company Radar
- Top priority is to catalog all our current and prospective users to work backwards from the goal of having 50 active users on our platform by July. This relates to a revenue team work plan Kate and I will be having this week (MZ)
- I’ll be meeting with Willdan to discuss connecting data from Momentum to their system. Hopefully this is the year we can track what happens after projects are scoped in Momentum! (JB)
- First quarter end close and preparing to share department budget and expenses for the first time. I’ll be reaching out to department leads to set up time to review later this month as well. (EP)
- 2024 tax review (EP)
