Welcome to December!
November 29, 2024 (Review of Week
EOY-5)
Hi, everyone! Welcome to December! We have just 3 weeks left in 2024!
Let’s make sure we’re spending time wisely, including dedicating time to plan for Q1
in the weeks we have left and on catching up on the 2024 360s that have rolled over.
Metrics
- Unique Buildings: 5,890 (November, +97 MoM)
- Annual Run Rate: $1.29M (-$10K MoM)
- Monthly net burn:
- 2024 Transaction fees to date: $49,736 (no change WoW)
- Outstanding invoices as of today: $265,575
Last Week’s Highlights
- Bomee and I spent time reviewing the CPC CFHF workflow and generic project workflow side-by-side and identified an idea for a new unified UI that could improve the UX for both. Now I just gotta find some time to draft it up. (JB)
- We worked out tentative timing for NYSERDA 5701 and sent it over for their reaction. I think we came out of it tentatively optimistic that this will be work that moves us forward in our back-end
work generally, not just in some earned revenue. (BJ)
- Marc did a lot of RFP work on Accelerator and CPC GGRF Software RFPs. Both RFPs will be done before we’re closed for end of year break (BJ)
Any missing highlights? Please share in Slack comments.
Crow’s Nest
Looking out for icebergs: What are the risks on the horizon that we’re watching for and navigating around?
Jason’s List
- How can we speed up application development? We have some things stuck partially done and an ever-growing backlog of needs.
- The rest of this month will require a lot of time spent on two big RFP responses, both which are critical for our GTM strategies within NYC (NYC Accelerator RFP) and in the rest of the country (CPC’s GGRF data collection platform).
- How and when can we experiment with parsing unstructured data supplied by users? Contractors and auditors are busy and have little-to-no interest in spending extra time submitting data to us in the methods we’ve provided so far. And if this is happening with local NYS auditing firms that we know well, there’s no reason to think it’ll be any different at the national level.
Bomee’s List
- Application team organizational mechanics. Communication gaps and process improvements, including via 360s – I think we need this, but it takes time as well.
- Planning for the many, many things that need doing in 2025. It’s a lot and I’m concerned about making sure we don’t repeat the mis-steps of the past.
- Generic Project / Generic Program roll-out timing.
