When I was at NYCHA, I sent out a Friday memo every week to my whole team that gave some top-line highlights from me, along with a giant table of updates on everything everyone was working on – what had moved, what was stuck and rolling over week to week, etc. I kept at it because it made me sit down and review the entire universe of stuff every week, and assuming anyone read it, gave folks a really quick way to see what was going on around them (we had a LOT of irons in the fire at any given time).
Fast forward to last week, I read on a blog post that the weekly email is some kind of best practice! No time like the present to start following best practice, right?
New revenue this week: NYU Dorms ($17k) - Yay!
2023 ARR: $301,130
2023 New customers: 11
And because we’re headed toward end of year:
Old revenue collected this week: B+W Q2 ($4k) - Yay!
Outstanding invoices as of Nov 1: $156,188.10
Sales wins - Before we could even sufficiently celebrate AEA, Marc landed NYU!
GGRF meetings off the starting blocks - Kudos to Marc, Erika, and Jessica Luk-Li on getting face time with all the major players. Fingers crossed, and seems like we have a lot of learning/cogitating to do
Wrapping up phase one of HOE - Big-ol thanks to Reuben on doing something like 60 interviews to get us to this point.
Willdan 2024 wish list - reviewing Willdan priorities. Important hurdle for contract negotiation.
Head of Engineering interviews - we’ve reached all-hands level with this search. Thank you, Chuck, Jason, Robin, and Erika for pitching in!
Regaining balance on releases - need to keep seeing progress toward a testing and release process we can live with for a while!
And here’s what’s on my radar screen - what am I forgetting?
