We’ve passed the 10-week mark and heading into daylight savings! I feel like we’ve done a lot of work so far this year, but we haven’t actually had external deadlines yet. We are about to have some (see on deck).
New revenue this week: 0 (but oh so close)
2024 ARR: 0
2024 New customers: 1 (Related signed!)
Old revenue collected this week: 0
Outstanding invoices as of today: $145,309.58
Related signed their subscription agreement this afternoon! We’re still waiting for the order forms–nearly there!
Per our annual reviewers, we are mostly performing “above grade level” on finops - yay! We don’t yet have the full report, but the word is we tick most (all?) of the Pre-seed boxes and some of the Seed. We definitely still have issues we want to be better on (e.g. 2023 took 3 months to close), but it’s good to know we’re ahead of the curve. Thanks Erika Parkins, for working with our reviewers!
QA help on the way! Congrats to François Huet and thanks to Reuben Firmin for the intro! Testing has become a big deal and it’s going to be great to have dedicated help making order from chaos. Looking forward to welcoming Jeff on Monday!
360s and onboarding are shaping up. Thanks to Jeremy Parker, Maksym Khrystunov, and Luke Floden going through the process and each making their contributions, and especially thanks to François Huet giving it some loving care, I think we are slowly, but surely improving the onboarding, esp. as a horizontal org.
Designer interest: I’m increasingly aware of the many things that need design help. This week, we got a whole bunch of freelance designer applications, resulting in 6 candidates who seem in our drop zone. Looking forward to meeting them over the next couple weeks.
FinOps: Crossing the Ts and dotting the Is on 2023; closing Jan and Feb books correctly; and getting annual review draft.
Dev pipeline: We now know of two more milestones (dare I say deadlines) to put on the board: We’ve been shooting for getting through the National Requirements by end of Q2, but we haven’t had an interim date. We need to deliver generic project by April 5 to support the HPD contractor procurement. The 2nd deadline is a bit more squishy, but we’ve been put on notice that by middle of June, the AMEEP remote audit feature will need to be demo-able for the utilities.
Staffing: Starting to get applications for the Decarb PM, but we’re not done till we’re done. We have a staffing plan, and we’re ready to execute - mainly between me and Marc.
Personally, Wireframes: I got started, but it fell off my list again this week. Thanks Jason and Luke for your input in the mean time.
Wednesday AM launch of 321 Go! Very exciting.
Workplan 360s: To discuss at next week’s horizontal practices meeting. One of the things FH, MZ and I discussed is that using 360s as our main mechanism for feedback and accountability would be helped by making the process something we do so much that no one would bat an eye at it – and to that end, we’re going to restart workplan reviews, this time enhanced with 360-style feedback gathering. I’ll go in April and then Marc in May to start.
And here’s what’s on my radar screen - what am I forgetting?
Feel free to leave comments below.
