Internal Documentation

From Projects to Programs.

September 1, 2024 (Review of Week EOY-17)

One more guest-written memo for now, as we wrap up summer and move forward into fall.

Even though my body hasn’t left the NYC Metro area for a while, my mind has spent a lot of time elsewhere. Internally we’re making back-end updates to get Momentum ready for the other 49 states. Externally, the many discussions and drafting of our response to CPC’s GGRF RFP have helped make “going national” more concrete–providing a few examples of new programs that we’ll need the ability to support. So once Generic Projects is further along, get ready for Generic Programs!

After the RFP deadline (this Friday 9/6), it might make sense to share an overview of the proposal and our role in it with the larger group.

Metrics

  • Unique Buildings: 5,588 ←- as of 9/1
  • Annual Run Rate: $1.3M ←- no change
  • Monthly net burn: $139k ←- as of July close. But still looking into this number.
  • 2024 Transaction fees to date: $6,257.34 ←- no change
  • Outstanding invoices as of today: $20k ←- no change

Last Week’s Highlights

  • Release 76 included the first version of Generic Projects for Kate and Martine to use! There are more features to add in the near future, but it’ll be wonderful to start seeing it get used!
  • The Related RFP bids came back, Jeremy ran the bid summarizer, and Kate and Martine reviewed the leveled bids with the client. We’re another step closer to closing this second round of LL97 bidding!
  • More progress on getting our back-end ready for national expansion while aligning with Generic Projects: we’re working on creating a building id schema that works beyond New York, are updating measure cost calculations so that they map more closely with the data displayed in RFP, and continue beefing up our climate and utility cost calculations.

Did we miss any highlights? Please share in comments.

On Deck for This Week

  • Release 77 should include more updates to the new Momentum dashboard and Generic Projects.
  • The GGRF RFP is due Friday! It’s time to give the response one last polish with Bomee and Marc coming back from vacation.
  • Naina’s 60-Day 360 is on Thursday!

And here’s what’s on Bomee’s radar screen - what should she know about now that she’s back?

Please Leave Feedback

Erika (Growth Lead) Sep 5th at 5:06 AM - There has been great progress on Generic Projects. I searched Bluedot to see if there was a demo - maybe it was within another meeting so doesn’t show up? It would be nice to have a sneak peek at some of the things we’re building. Maybe in an upcoming all-hands? It’s exciting to hear that the GGRF RFP is almost ready to go- Congratulations! :tada:

Luke (Coder) [they/them] Sep 5th at 1:32 PM - How did it go with using the bid summary tool for the Related RFP? (cc. @Jeremy (Contract Coder))

Jeremy (Contract Coder) Sep 5th at 2:44 PM - @Luke (Coder) [they/them] Kate, Martine and I have a meeting tomorrow to find out. :slightly_smiling_face:
