This is a story about believing in yourself, working as a team, and taking advice from a mentor. Actually, that’s the description of Kung Fu Panda Paws of Destiny that I just heard my dad reading out to my kid, but why not - let’s go with it - we’re on a mission!

Here’s some of the stuff that has been percolating:
In consolidating NYC:
Marc Zuluaga has a new deal in the works with Aurora and AKAM that would bring in ~300 buildings and $150k ARR. This is another long-running conversation he’s been patiently nurturing and is now on the verge of turning it real work thanks to LL97. When we have AKAM and FirstService on board, that will cover the largest and 2nd largest property managers in NYC.
Jason Block demo’d for both the NY State housing agency (who oversees the CPC program) and for National Grid (fondly the “Grid”), the “other” utility in NYC. The housing agency conversation was important not only because they are indirectly a client, but also because they run a whole bunch of other programs including the NY Weatherization Assistance Program. The Grid conversation was important because we’re talking about replacing the required energy audit for AMEEP with Momentum outputs – the first nail in the coffin for the $30k a pop energy audit!
In going national:
We commissioned a video editing team to turn the GGRF webinar from a few weeks ago into some short pieces that can be shared on social media. Watching the first one reminded me how far we’ve come and what advantage we already have: no one else has customers who call their software “game changing!” How fun is that!?!
Marc, Jessica, and Erika continue to have follow-ups with GGRF top-tier applicants, including Enterprise / Rewiring America this week. This is the lull before the storm, y’all.
And finally, we learned that we are a semi-finalist for EPRI’s Incubatenergy® Labs 2024 cohort. If selected, Marc and I would go to the EPRI electrification conference in March and pitch to EPRI and its members – the totality of their membership represents 90% of the electricity generated and delivered in the US – for a paid pilot.
Revenue: Related and renewals.
Bookkeeping: We’re still trying to close out 2023, and as of this week, hopefully I’ve identified all of the irregularities that have been plaguing us much of this year. Erika will be getting us set up with a different service provider and the annual “audit lite” we do with a CFO/Controller type person will help us improve quality control. 🤞
Refocusing on feature releases: It seems like we’ve made some progress moving to pit-crew-ing a feature at a time. Folks feel good about it?
Prod bugs: Still simmering, pending QA tester person.
Staffing: François is making progress bringing on additional hands! Still need to sit down and refine the resourcing spreadsheet we started on last week and get it into a revised 18 mo budget.
Reminder that Monday is a holiday in the US!
Ah, Related. Hopefully this week we’ll get the contract signed!
Job posting for Marc’s sales/customer position (?) if we can
And here’s what’s on my radar screen - what am I forgetting?
