README for Sara Vasilovski
Hi there!
My name is Sara Vasilovski, and I use she/her pronouns. (In case you’re wondering, it’s pronounced “Sah-rah Vah-sil-ohvs-kee.”)
At Cadence OneFive, my role is…
I’m a passionate bookkeeper, here to keep our financial records in tip-top shape!
Who am I?
Away from work
I’m a 28-year-old living in the charming city of Prilep, North Macedonia. When I’m not crunching numbers, you can find me being a social butterfly—spending quality time with friends and family. I also treasure my alone time; it’s essential for recharging! Fun fact: I come from a family of accountants (yes, everyone is in accounting), and I swore I would never follow that path… but here I am, living the dream!
At work
With over 9 years in the bookkeeping field, I’ve spent 6 years honing my skills in Macedonian accounting and the last 3 years diving into international bookkeeping. I thrive on keeping accurate records and ensuring everything balances perfectly. My biggest strength? An eagle-eyed attention to detail—I can spot a discrepancy from a mile away! I’m dedicated to making financial processes smoother and love the challenge of helping businesses manage their finances effectively.
Excited to bring my bookkeeping expertise to the team and make numbers fun! Looking forward to working with all of you!
Goals
Learning Goals
As a newcomer to the world of international accounting, I’m eager to dive deeper into more complex financial topics, especially budgeting and financial analysis. I want to blend these new skills with my bookkeeping expertise to really elevate my game. The more I learn, the more I can help our team thrive!
Career Goals
Right now, I’m taking it day by day, constantly evolving in my area of expertise. My dream? To gather enough knowledge and experience to transition into consulting within the finance realm. I envision a future where I can guide others through the intricate world of finance—less entry-level, more strategy!
Ways of Working Together
I thrive when I can tackle the long, hard, and sometimes boring tasks on my own, giving them my full, uninterrupted focus. However, I’m all about those quick, engaging meetings to ensure we’re on the same page. Let’s keep them short, sweet, and effective! I’m also open to longer discussions with teammates if that’s what it takes to move forward and get things done. After all, social butterfly here!
You Can Lean on Me To…
Tackle those LONG BORING tasks! Just kidding… sort of! I genuinely love getting things in tip-top shape and organized. Maybe it’s a career flaw, but I find joy in checking items off my to-do list. If you need help with organization or making sense of financial chaos, I’m your go-to!
How to Support Me
How to Support Me
I absolutely thrive on deadlines! They help me stay organized and focused, especially given my contractor role and limited hours. Having due dates for everything we need allows me to plan effectively and bring my best work under pressure.
How to Support Me as a Person
I tend to break up my work hours, so I prefer to have meetings and then tackle tasks when it fits my schedule best. I love the flexibility this job provides; it helps me balance my personal and professional life seamlessly. Deadlines are key to helping me manage everything effectively!
I’m My Best Self on a Team When…
I contribute meaningfully to discussions, especially when I have something relatable to share. I love exchanging knowledge and hearing what others have to teach me as well. Collaboration is all about learning together!
Feedback Preferences
I welcome feedback anytime—especially if I’m not meeting expectations. I also appreciate shout-outs when I’m doing a great job; they motivate me to keep pushing forward! Feedback is a fantastic opportunity for growth, and I’m always eager to improve.
Technical Preferences
I’m a huge fan of everything Google Workspace-related—maybe I’m just used to it! However, I’m always open to learning new tools that can streamline my work and make my life easier.
Schedule and Availability
I prefer meetings between 12 PM and 3 PM GMT+2. Even though I’m in the Central European Summer Time zone, I can adjust for earlier or later meetings. Just give me a heads-up in advance so I can plan accordingly!
